Installing for the first time?

On macOS

Open the DMG, then drag Plumkey into Applications. Open Plumkey and allow screen recording when prompted.

This build isn’t notarized yet. If macOS blocks it, use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway for Plumkey.

On Windows

Run the installer and follow the setup steps. Choose x64 for Intel or AMD, or ARM64 for a Snapdragon PC.

The installer isn’t signed yet, so Windows may show a reputation warning. Verify the download and publisher information before continuing.

    Install the app.

    Open your download and install Plumkey. On Mac, allow screen recording so you can capture questions.

    Sign in. Add your key.

    Open Account in Settings and sign in with the code sent to your email. Add your OpenAI API key in the same place.

    Your key stays encrypted on your device.

    Ask your first question.

    Open a coding question. Press to capture it, then to get an answer. Ask follow-ups in Chat.
